The Topeka Symphony has been presenting free school day concerts to students from Northeast Kansas since 1999. This extremely popular concert series plays to capacity student and teacher audiences every year.
These concerts are supported by grants and contributions from local businesses and individuals. Over the years, nearly 75,000 students from schools throughout Northeast Kansas have been able to attend these concerts at no cost. A resource packet is made available for teachers to prepare students for this fun and educational experience. For many of these students, this is their first opportunity to experience a live symphony performance as well as their first visit to the Capital city.

TSO School Day Concerts Information
The Topeka Symphony is pleased to announce our 28th annual SCHOOL DAY CONCERTS on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. The Topeka Symphony Orchestra will present three performances designed for 4th through 8th grade students. The hour-long concerts will be at 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at White Concert Hall. Our theme for this year’s concerts is Race to the Symphony. Once again, through the generous support of area corporate underwriters, we are able to present these concerts at no charge to the schools or students.
This season’s event will take place at White Concert Hall on Washburn University’s campus. Parking is available for cars, and parking directions for buses will be provided.
To reserve your school’s place at one of the performances, complete the ONLINE registration form. Reservations will be accepted on the designated form only. Telephone reservations will not be accepted.
Performances tend to fill up quickly, so don’t delay in returning your form. Reservations are taken on a first-come first-serve basis. An email confirmation of your registration will be sent to the primary contact person identified on your registration form.
