5K & Fun Run

DATE AND TIME
September 16th, 2023.
5K Race and Fun Run begin at 9:00am.
On-site registration begins at 8:00am.

Washburn University, 1700 SW Jewell Avenue, Topeka, KS 66604

DESCRIPTION
Join us for our second annual Topeka Symphony Stroll: 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, September 16th, 2023. Our participants will be treated to LIVE MUSIC and activities for kids; including an Art Lab sponsored by the Mulvane Art Museum. All funds raised go towards supporting the Topeka Symphony and its youth programs. The race begins in front of Garvey Fine Arts Center and the Student Union on Washburn University’s campus, 1700 Jewell Avenue, Topeka 66604. Free Parking is available across the street from the race start and finish line.

COST
5K: $30 if registered by August 18, $35 after August 18.
Fun Run (or walk): $20 if registered by August 18, $25 after August 18.

RACE SHIRTS
Only those who register by August 18 are guaranteed a participant’s shirt.

PACKET PICKUP
Packet pick-up will be from 8:00 – 8:45 on the morning of the race near the starting line.  Participants will receive t-shirts and race bibs (if running the 5K).

AWARDS
Awards for the 5K race will follow the run. Engraved medals will be given to the 5K 1st place finisher, male and female, in each age division. The top three finishers in each age division will receive a free Topeka Symphony concert ticket, which can be reserved by email, after the race. The age divisions are 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Awards not picked up at the race will be available for pick up at the symphony office.
